Week 15 · Visualisation and Project Clinic 可视化与项目答疑

Dec 21, 2026 · ← Course home

Planned session. The last technical skill: making numbers argue. Charts that carry a stylistic claim — frequency comparisons, keyword plots, cluster and PCA maps that show a hundred texts as one picture — and the design discipline that keeps them honest.

The second half of the session is a full project clinic: groups bring their final projects (corpus track or close-reading track), and we work through analysis roadblocks, argumentation, and presentation structure ahead of next week’s defence.

Key concepts: visual encoding; honest chart design; PCA and clustering as exploratory tools; presentation of quantitative evidence.

Slides and materials will be posted here after class.
